One of the best volleyball players in the Philippines is set to impress in the Women’s Volleyball Thailand League.

Mylene Paat, who is coming off an impressive championship run during the 2021 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) with the Cherry Tiggo Crossovers, will be taking her talents to the club Nakhon Ratchasima once their season kicks off.

The leftie spiker will become the second active Filipina who will play overseas aside from Jaja Santiago who is currently playing in Japan for Saitama.

Paat’s stint with Choco Mucho during the 2021 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship last October paved the way for the signing as they clashed against Nakhon during the elimination games of the tournament.

Despite losing, Nakhon was impressed with Paat’s performance who fired eight huge points including her signature cross-court spikes that wowed the crowd.

Paat’s stint with Nakhon will make her the third Filipina to set foot in Thailand’s volleyball pro league after Alyssa Valdez last 2016 and Marck Espejo last year.

The former Adamson standout will seek to improve the standing of Nakhon once she arrives with the team and will gun for the prestigious championship trophy.
