THE National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in Region VI hosted a briefing about its mandates, including the roles and responsibilities of the Regional Development Council (RDC).
Newly-elected officials from the Province and the five municipalities attended the orientation.
Provincial Planning and Development Council (PPDC) and Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) Officer-in-Charge Nolinda G. Ronzales said the activity provided better understanding of the government development planning process.
She also cited the significance of investment programming as bases for local development council with the RDC.
Select department heads were also present during the event.
NEDA-6 Regional Director Ro-Ann A. Bacal provided the historical background, legal bases, attached agencies, and specific mandates of NEDA.
Assistant Regional Director Arecio A. Casing Jr. presented the role of the RDC while Ma. Lourdes B. Miado talked about the importance of the Planning Process.
Maria Isabel B. Blancia discussed Project Proposals and Sources of Financing.
Meanwhile,Erlinda B. Chiu discussed Monitoring and Problem Solving and Maria Teresa G. Guadalupe talked about Knowledge Products and Technical Assistance.
