Negros police get ‘refurbished’ rifles

BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) has acquired 42 units of “upgraded” M14 rifles on Monday.

The turnover rite was held at Nocppo headquarters here led by Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, Nocppo director, during the flag raising ceremony.

Baleros said third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez initiated the repair of the unused firearms. It was distributed to the Provincial Mobile Force Company to augment their firepower capability.

Baleros expressed his gratitude to the congressman for the support he extended to the provincial police force.
