New Capiz top cop sets priorities

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The newly assumed director of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) vowed to continue the campaign against illegal activities in the province.

Police Colonel Winston De Belen said his priority is to quash illegal drugs, illegal gambling, illegal fishing, and proliferation of loose firearms.

De Belen added that he will strengthen the Bayanihan spirit through the deployment of police officers to preempt criminals in committing crimes.

He will also prioritize the campaign against vote buying during the election period even as he assured to continue the programs started by his predecessor, Col. Laudemer Llaneta who was transferred to Camp Crame.

De Belen laid down his 10-point peace and order agenda during his stint in Capiz.

These are:

  1. Strengthen partnership with the community
  2. Strengthen partnership with the government, local territorial units of the Philippine National Police and Military officials
  3. Bayanihan Spirit (Enhancing Police Visibility)
  4. Establish the implementation of new normal protocols
  5. Intensive intelligence gathering
  6. Strict campaign for illegal drugs
  7. Strict campaign for illegal gambling
  8. Strict campaign for lose firearms
  9. Strict campaign for illegal fishing
  10. Strict campaign to pitch vote buying.
