Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena is ready for the big stage as he dazzled once again in his recent international tournament stint.

Fresh off a gold medal podium finish in the recently concluded 2021 Gothenburg Athletics Grand Prix in Sweden, Obiena took the silver medal in the 2021 FBK Games at the FBK Stadion, Hengelo, Netherlands.

Obiena and his camp are currently wrapping up their final preparations for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics with just one month left and are getting the results that they want.

The Filipino did well in Sweden after scoring 5.80 meters behind world-record holder Armand Duplantis who registered 6.10 meters.

Obiena continued to make his name in the sport and is now slowly earning the praise he deserves entering the prestigious event in Tokyo.

On July 31, Obiena will be participating in another international event and is seeking to punch the top spot in the Tokyo Olympic Stadium qualifying.
