One UPV has always been at the forefront in giving back to our community. We are a fully registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in New Jersey USA, aimed to provide and support educational opportunities for students in need in the Philippines. We provide scholarship grants, book allowances, and financial assistance to deserving students of UPV.
This season of Thanksgiving is also a season of giving. Let us be reminded of the joy and importance of giving and how much our acts of giving can affect others. For this coming Thanksgiving, we aim to give more by taking part in GivingTuesday.
GivingTuesday, often stylized as #GivingTuesday for the purposes of hashtag activism, is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It is touted as a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” This event encourages people to give back in whatever ways they can.
We too want to be part of this global generosity movement. And you can join us too. We recently launched a fundraiser to celebrate GivingTuesday. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to help our current scholars and give more educational opportunities to deserving students in the Philippines. Join us as we launch a season of Grateful Giving with #GivingTuesday.
