BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) is nearing 100 percent vaccination rate after 2,164 personnel were inoculated against COVID-19 as of September 16.
Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, Nocppo information officer, said only 100 policemen are still unvaccinated due to certain reasons.
The 100 unvaccinated personnel include 70 with comorbidities based on their medical records, while 30 others are waiting for their vaccination schedule.
Despite this development, the provincial police force recorded 12 active cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 224.
Donasco said 210 have recovered from the infection, while two deaths were recorded.
Donasco said the patients had mild symptoms and are now on quarantine.
