BACOLOD City – An estimated P1,033,600 worth of suspected shabu was seized by authorities in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Oriental over the weekend.

Two persons, whose names were withheld by police, were arrested in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental last Friday, for alleged possession of 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000, and a .45-caliber pistol with a magazine loaded with seven live ammunition.

The following day, John Villegas, 38; Marc Felix Tad-y, 29; and Reynaldo Lepania, 43 were arrested in Barangay Mansilingan here.

Police recovered from them 10 sachets of suspected shabu worth P170,000, the P1,000 marked money, and P700.

According to a report from Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, Villegas is listed as a street level individual and the target of the operation, while Tad-y and Lepania allegedly just visited the subject.

The PRO-6 report said the transaction was made at the residence of Villegas.

Tad-y allegedly received the marked money in exchange for the suspected shabu that Villegas handed to a police agent.

The three suspects are detained at Police Station 7.

Also arrested here in Barangay Felisa Sunday was Ronnel Balaquit, 25, of the said village.

Police seized from him eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P183,600, and the P500 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 10.
