P102,000 ‘shabu’ seized from drug den; four nabbed

BACOLOD City – Around 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000 was seized after authorities dismantled an alleged drug den in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last Monday.

Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Negros Occidental Office, Special Enforcement Unit, along with PDEA-Guimaras, PDEA-Antique, Seaport Interdiction Unit, PNP Maritime in San Carlos City, and San Carlos City Police Station, arrested alleged drug den maintainer Jinggoy Santillan, and three others.

According to PDEA-6, the arrested persons were reported via the “Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins” hotline of PDEA.

Also recovered from them were four lighters, aluminum foil, and the P500 marked money.

Meanwhile, 11 persons were also arrested in separate drug bust operations in the province, which led to the confiscation of P93,364 worth of suspected shabu in the past five days.

The operations were conducted in the cities of Sipalay, Cadiz, Sagay, Himamaylan, La Carlota, and Victorias, and the towns of E.B. Magalona, Ilog, Binalbagan, Toboso, Cauayan, and Manapla.
