P188,400 in ‘shabu’ seized, 4 nabbed

BACOLOD City – Four persons were arrested while P188,400 worth of suspected shabu was seized in three separate buy-bust operations here and in two areas in Negros Occidental from September 21 to 23.

In Bacolod City, the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-6 arrested Earil Montalban, and Mark Canama in Barangay Alijis last Tuesday.

Police recovered from them 14 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams worth P100,000, the P500 marked money, P3,000, cellular phone, and a vehicle.

Both suspects are detained at Police Station 7.

In Valladolid town, Jocel Pilarta, 23, of Barangay Cabug here was collared at Barangay Tabao Proper yesterday.

Confiscated from him by the authorities were seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams worth P34,000, and the P1,000 marked money.

In Silay City, Jay-R Roa, 32, of Barangay Rizal was arrested at Barangay 2 last Monday, after he allegedly yielded six sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams worth P54,400, the P500 marked money, P2,500 boodle or fake money, and P134 cash.
