P244,800 worth of ‘shabu’ seized

BACOLOD City – Four persons were arrested while P244,800 worth of suspected shabu was seized in three buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental last Saturday.

Victorias City recorded the biggest drug haul with P136,000 worth of suspected shabu seized from two persons in Barangay 5.

Aside from the illegal drugs, some drug paraphernalia were also recovered from them, according to the police.

In Bacolod, a 22-year-old man was arrested in Barangay Mansilingan with the confiscation of 11 grams of suspected shabu worth P74,800. He is detained at Police Station 7.

Also arrested here in Barangay 2 was a 24-year-old man from Barangay Vista Alegre.

Police seized from him five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000. He is detained at Police Station 2.

Just last month, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized more than P8.5 million worth of illegal drugs here from July 1 to 31.

A total of 1252.604 grams of illegal drugs were confiscated from 52 persons in 45 police operations.

Of the arrested individuals, 37 were drug pushers and 15 others were drug users. A total of 67 cases were filed in court.
