BACOLOD City – A 45-year-old man was arrested by police with 105 grams of suspected shabu worth P714,000 in a buy-bust operation at Purok Hollow Blocks, Barangay Singcang-Airport here yesterday.
A certain “Jojo” of the said village allegedly yielded 30 sachets of suspected shabu, marked money, and other non-drug items, according to the police.
The operation was led by the Special Operations Unit (SOU)-6, Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), in coordination with Police Station 8.
In a statement, Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, said the successful operation underscores the commitment of the police to eradicate the menace of illegal drugs in the community. He commended the collaborative efforts of the operating units involved.
This recent drug haul came a month after PDEG operatives also arrested a woman in a drug bust in the same village, with the seizure of P516,000 worth of suspected shabu on January 5.
