The Petro Gazz Angels are already one win away from winning the 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.

After a gutsy first-game sweep victory, the Angels are already eager of claiming the throne as queens of Philippine volleyball once again.

However, the veteran squad knew it would be a major challenge of taking down the tough Cignal HD Spikers team knowing the level of talent their pool currently has including one of the best imports of the conference, Tai Bierria.

Petro Gazz veteran Myla Pablo said they have to maintain their A-game if they want to keep up with Cignal’s playing pace.

Pablo added that it will not be enough for their import to score more than 25 points but another collective effort will have to be displayed against a well-coached team like Cignal.

In addition, Pablo also emphasized her role in scoring and must continue her vintage performance during their Game 1 win.

“Kailangan talaga ako ng coaches sa loob ng court na kailangan pumuntos ako especially nasa likod pa yung import namin,” said Pablo.

It wasn’t Pablo who also showcased her skill in Game 1. Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, another veteran who was a former staple member of the national team years ago, contributed big time and chipped in 10 points last Game 1.

Petro Gazz will look to end the championship series today and gun for a 2-0 sweep as they square off against Cignal at 5:30 PM to be held at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

“I’m very happy na if ever makuha namin yung Game Two syempre kailangan namin ibigay yung best namin, mag tulong tulong kami para makuha namin yung championship,” added Pablo.
