The PLDT High Speed Hitters are hoping for a better 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season after acquiring superstar libero Kath Arado from the Petro Gazz Angels.

Arado, the 2021 PVL Open Conference Best Libero, is set to reinforce the rebuilding High Speed Hitters team who is also welcoming new head coach George Pascua.

The decorated libero will reunite with former Philippine team member Rhea Dimaculangan after their 2019 Southeast Asian Games stint.

PLDT will look to bounce back from a disappointing 3-6 win-loss record during the last PVL Open conference.

The volleyball club retained its core of Dimaculangan, Nieza Viray, Chin Basas, and Eli Soyud who also played for former legendary head coach Roger Gorayeb.

Aside from Arado, the High Speed Hitters also signed middle blocker Jessey De Leon and offensive player Mean Mendrez who are also from Petro Gazz.

However, the team will have to adapt to the new system to be implemented by new head coach Pascua after taking over Gorayeb’s post who handled the team for eight years.
