ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The police have person of interest on the death of a 33-year-old bar worker who was found dead on Dec 10, 2019 inside her house at Sitio Patio in Barangay Bago here.

According to Police Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, Roxas City PNP spokesperson, the autopsy results on the body of Ma. Luz Peñaroyo, a native of Barangay Balucuan, Dao, Capiz, gave leads on her case.

Investigation indicated that the victim was last seen alive on Dec 6, 2019 buying liquor in a nearby store.

Peñaroyo’s neighbors Gabby Estimado and Rodian Bilan discovered her body at the house of her live-in partner Jonathan Bilan, 45.

Foul smell from the house met Estimado and Bilan as they later found the lifeless victim on the bed.

Police Lt. Col. Dr. Joe Martin Fuentes of the Regional Crime Laboratory said that the victim might have been killed after she was sexually molested.

Meanwhile, Bilan, who went missing after Peñaroyo’s death, showed up at the police station and denied any hand in his partner’s demise.

He said he is willing to cooperate with the police. He said he expected to be linked in the killing because he was away when the incident happened.
