The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 awarded medals to six deserving PNP personnel for demonstrating exemplary performance, efficiency, and devotion to duty during the flag raising and awarding ceremonies held at the PRO-6 Grandstand, Camp General Martin Teofilo B Delgado, Iloilo City on August 8, 2022.
Former PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Flynn E Dongbo was represented by Police Colonel Martin E Defensor, Jr., PRO-6, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, who pinned the medals to the awardees.
Police Major Eleazar Climacosa and Police Staff Sergeant Vincent Ariel Billena of Janiuay Municipal Police Station received the Medalya ng Kagalingan or the PNP Merit Medal for the successful arrest of a suspected drug peddler in a buy-bust operation conducted on April 29, 2022.
Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Papuri or the PNP Commendation Medal was awarded to Police Captain Marvin Buenavista and Police Staff Sergeant George Villanueva Jr., of Miag-ao Municipal Police Station for arresting a wanted person for violation of Republic Act 9262 at Barangay Baybay Norte, Miag-ao, Iloilo on April 19, 2022.
The same medal was awarded to Police Lieutenant Ryan Batadlan and Police Staff Sergeant Richard Villar of Altavas Municipal Police Station for nabbing a wanted person identified as Resurection Sonio for a crime of murder at Barangay Cabugao, Altavas, Aklan on June 23, 2022.
Police Colonel Defensor congratulated the awardees for their laudable accomplishments.
The activity was attended by PRO-6 Command Group, staff, and personnel.
