THE Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office celebrated its 6th Anniversary through a Tree-Planting and Gift Giving Activities at Sitio Kati-Kati, Barangay San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras on Sept 15, 2019.
PSA-Guimaras staffers planted 100 jackfruit seedlings were planted and gave away 70 gift packs to the Ati community.
The activities were realized because of the support of PSA’s partner agency, LGU, and individuals or group – the Department of Environment & Natural Resources who provided for the jackfruit seedlings, the Boice Visayas PH who sponsored the gifts, the PSA staff who shared personal hygiene supplies, and the Ati community led by their chieftain Crispin Valencia who assisted the staff during the tree-planting activity.
“Ini nga activities sang PSA-Guimaras and sang Boice Visayas PH may daku nga binipisyo nga mahatag sa amon diri sa Kati-kati tungod nga makabulig gid ini sa amon. Paagi sini mahangkat man ang mga pumuluyo nga magpananum sang mga kahoy diri sa amon lugar,” Valencia said.
Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said that apart from beyond their mandates as the primary agency responsible for the implementation of the objectives and provisions of Republic Act No. 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013), PSA-Guimaras also conducts activities that promote social responsibility, uphold growth and high-quality governance, as well as oneness among employees.
“This social responsibility activity, aimed to promote camaraderie among PSA-Guimaras staff, build strong relationship with other agencies/LGUs and enhance community rapport in order to provide a top-notch public service,” Losare said.
