The Cignal HD Spikers just received a huge blow ahead of their Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference campaign after the veteran duo of Ces Molina and Ria Meneses decided to part ways with the franchise.

The surprising turn of events was confirmed on January 9, 2024, after the Avior Talent Management, Molina and Meneses’ agency, released an official statement on their social media accounts.

“Avior Talent Management expresses its most sincere gratitude towards Cignal HD Spikers Management for all the opportunities it had given to Frances Xinia Molina and Marivic Meneses, two Avior talents, over the past three years as they have decided to part ways with the team,” posted the agency in their official Facebook account.

Both volleyball stars left an imprint on the Cignal organization, helping them clinch two silver medals and five bronze finishes during their three-year tenure in a total of eight conferences.

According to multiple reports, both Molina and Meneses’ contracts were already expiring during the kick-off of the PVL All-Filipino Conference in November last year.

After the new year, both leaders opted not to renew with the HD Spikers, but their next destination will be determined in the upcoming days.

Molina, one of the most decorated outside hitters in the history of the PVL, will leave the franchise as a Most Valuable Player (MVP) during the 2023 Invitational Conference.’

On the other hand, Meneses won two Best Middle Blocker awards under the Cignal franchise in the 2022 Open Conference and the 2023 All-Filipino Conference.

“Your dedication and guidance have been instrumental in shaping their careers and leaving a legacy of excellence. Thank you for being an incredible part of their journey,” added the Avior Talent Management.
