Kiefer Ravena went back to business and joined the NLEX Road Warriors right after the PBA barred him from playing in the Japan B. League.
The Phenom was seen already participating in the team drills and scrimmages days after the PBA board announced their final decision.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial backed the league’s decision and explained that Ravena must honor his contract with NLEX under the Uniform Player’s Contract rule.
As stated in the rule is that a player must finish his signed contract first before accepting any deal from a different sports league.
The NLEX management confirmed that Ravena’s signed contract will end next year, 2023, and must wait for it to expire before flying to Japan.
Following the final judgement, Ravena is back with his NLEX brothers with another quest of a PBA playoff run after falling short in last season’s bubble campaign.
The team is still intact and is composed of the same core that they had with Ravena leading the team backstopped by JR Quiñahan, Kevin Alas, and Jericho Cruz.
PBA’s upcoming season is still underway of announcing their final date and venue as some teams had just started with their practices amid the ease of the quarantine levels in Manila.
