BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental 5th district Rep. Emilio “Dino” Yulo asked the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) to be part of the One Hospital Command System (OHCS) of the provincial government.

Yulo told reporters that he was impressed by the OHCS after being briefed by Dr. Girlie Pinongan, Hospital Operations Division Chief.

“It just needs a little fine tuning,” Yulo said.

He said there is a need for more coordination between the regional hospital and the One Hospital Command system of the provincial government of Negros Occidental.

He imparted that the One Hospital Command System serves as the center of communication for coordinated referrals of patients to various Capitol-managed hospitals, thus, avoiding overcrowding at hospital triage and emergency rooms.

Yulo said that through the OHCS “you will know, at any given time, where hospitals and doctors are available.”

He also commended the Information Technology (IT) of the provincial government, along with Pinongan and other provincial officials for their inputs in the realization of OHCS.

Yulo said he hoped that CLMMRH which is part of a national government agency will be part of the OHCS adding that he will look into it.

OHCS also facilitates medical transport and patient pick-up arrangements, provides health system capacity, data analytics, risk communications, and optimizes the use of critical care services of every hospital in Negros Occidental.
