BACOLOD CITY – Riverside College Bacolod (RBC) achieved another milestone as one of its alumni excelled in the December 2024 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination (PTLE).
Raymund Carlo A. Masbaño, a native of Barangay Granada, earned the highest rating of 90.55 percent, making him the topnotcher in the national exam.
The school announced that it has produced top-performing physical therapists for two consecutive years, setting a precedent of excellence in the field.
In a Facebook post, RBC highlighted that Masbaño is an alumnus of both its Senior High School and College programs, underscoring his achievement as a source of pride for the institution.
Mayor Alfredo “Albee” Benitez commended Masbaño for his outstanding accomplishment.
“This is a great honor for your family, Riverside College, and the entire Bacolodnon community. We are so proud of you,” Benitez said.
Barangay Granada captain Armando Vito also congratulated Masbaño in a Facebook post.
“Our hearts swell with pride as we congratulate Masbaño, a distinguished Granadian, for achieving the top spot in the PTLE,” Vito wrote.
“May your remarkable achievement inspire the youth of Barangay Granada to strive for excellence. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors,” he added.
Last year, Ma. Angelica Faye Dela Victoria of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, also from RBC, topped the PTLE with an 89.70 percent rating.
RBC emphasized that these consecutive successes reflect the institution’s commitment to excellence in its BS Physical Therapy program, serving as an inspiration and beacon of hope for aspiring professionals.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that 1,206 out of 1,700 examinees, or 70.94 percent, passed the exams held on Dec. 6 and 7 in testing centers across Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, and Pampanga.
