ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Roxas City Fire Station is this year’s Best City Fire Station in Western Visayas.

In addition, Roxas City Acting Fire Marshall Senior Inspector Stephen Jardeleza is also conferred Junior Officer of the Year award, said City Fire Station Information Officer Don Anthony Falsis.

Falsis said that this is already the second consecutive year that the Roxas City Fire Station was given such prestigious recognition in Western Visayas.

He added that Jardeleza was recognized for his exemplary performance in discharging his functions and in leading the organization here.

On the other hand, Jardeleza said that the recognition to him and his station as the “Best” in the region is the fruit of their concerted efforts to serve the people here.

He said that the support and cooperation of the community to their efforts toward a fire-safe city were very vital in this award.

“Our innovations, initiatives plus the commitment of the people and our personnel resulted in our ‘good’ practices that made us on top among the best in Western Visayas,” Jardeleza said.

He added that with the trained personnel and available logistics such as equipment and other facilities, they can provide the public with effective and immediate fire and other emergency response.

During the 28th Bureau of Fire Protection anniversary celebration in Iloilo City, August 29, Jardeleza personally received the plaque of appreciation and cash incentives.
