Roxas City lowers RT-PCR test fees

The Roxas City government approved an ordinance lowering RT-PCR testing fees from P3,800 to P2,800 per request of Mayor Ronnie Dadivas. Councilor Paul Baticados (inset) pushed the measure in the council.

The Roxas City government through its Sangguniang Panlungsod lowered fees for RT-PCR testing for persons who will travel for work and other purposes.

Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said RT-PCR swab testing is free for close contacts and Covid-19 suspect cases who are residents of Roxas City.

But some residents who are neither suspected cases nor close contacts who require the test to travel outside the city for work or other purposes.

Thus, Dadivas said he requested the City Council to pass an ordinance that will lower the fees for walk-in persons who want to be tested at the Roxas City Diagnostic and Laboratory Center.

During the regular session on Tuesday, the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved Dadivas’ request by adjusting the testing fee from P3,800 to P2,800, based on the latest guidelines from the Department of Health (DOH).

“Ako nagapasalamat sa bug-os nga konseho sa pag-aprubar sini nga lihok kag kay Councilor Paul Baticados sa pagsulong sini nga ordinansa,” Dadivas said.
