A laborer was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation Tuesday morning in San Rafael, Iloilo.
Aside from illegal drugs, a firearm was also seized from Ramy Delojo’s possession.
Members of the San Rafael Police Station and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (IPO-PDEU) arrested the 39-year-old Delojo after selling a sachet of suspected shabu at his place in Sitio Balabag, Barangay Poblacion, San Rafael.
Recovered from the suspect were five sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P15,000; P5,000 cash including the marked money, a mobile phone, and a caliber .45 pistol.
Police Lieutenant Martin Pugales, San Rafael police chief, said they arrested the suspect after weeks of surveillance operation.
Delojo, meanwhile, was tight-lipped on his alleged illegal drug involvement and where he sourced his supply.
He is presently detained at San Rafael Police Station lock-up cell and would be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
