SSS holds back-to-back ops vs erring employers in Iloilo

The Social Security System (SSS) issued show cause orders to 12 delinquent employers during its back-to-back Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) Campaign held last June 20 and 21 in Iloilo City.

SSS Executive Vice President for Branch Operations Sector Atty. Voltaire P. Agas said that these employers failed to pay their contribution delinquencies amounting to P7.23 million, affecting 117 employees.

“The regular remittance of SS and EC contributions will protect their employees against the hazards of disability, sickness, maternity, disability, job loss, old age, death and other contingencies. That’s why we are offering the Enhanced Installment Payment under the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Program to help these employers to settle their contribution delinquency and accrued penalties,” Agas said.

PRRP 3 offers installment terms ranging from nine to 60 months, depending on the total amount of obligation. The program will run until November 22,2022. Complete details can be accessed at http://bitly.ws/r6DI.

Agas also pointed out that failure to respond to the order within 15 days shall compel the SSS to file legal cases against them for violation of Social Security Act of 2018.

“We urge employers to visit the SSS branch who handles their account for the processing of their PRRP 3 application. Rest assured that our Accounts Officers are available to assist them,” Agas concluded.
