STAKEHOLDERS and Philippine Army personnel and units were honored in celebration of the Philippine Armys 3rd Infantry Divisions 45th founding anniversary.
Several individuals and units were awarded in recognition of their remarkable contribution to the military organization.
The ceremony was held May 1, 2019, at the 3ID headquarters at Camp Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz.
The 3IDs plaque of recognition were presented to several partner individuals including Dr. Luis Sorolla Jr., President, West Visayas State University; Mr. Roberto Sazon Sr., Chief Executive Officer of Sazon Group of Companies; Ms Ma. Cristina Gutianon, Officer-in-Charge of Semirara Mining and Power Corporation; Dr. Marie Jean Sibonga DMD, medical retainer of the 61st Infantry Battalion; Mr. Nelson Yuvallos, President of Golden NYY Micro Lending Inc. and Ecool Phil. Services Corporation, Mandaue North Central; and Ms Mary hope Muyco Biasca, Pastor, Trinity Christian Fellowship, Caliling, Cuayan, Negros Occidental.
Meanwhile, the 79th Infantry Battalion was recognized as the best infantry battalion.
Other awards include the Best Company Commander; Best Platoon Leader; Best First Sergeant; Best Platoon Sergeant; Best Squad Leader and Best Civilian Employee.
Major General Dinoh Dolina, 3ID commander, said it is but fitting that recognition be bestowed to awardees for their dedicated and meritorious service done to the community and the 3ID.
Aside from Dolina, the occasion was graced by no less than the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, Lt. General Macairog Alberto AFP.
Adopting the theme 3ID: Bayani at Kaisa ng Mamamayan para sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Kabisayaan, the event was an opportune time for the 3ID to give honors to stakeholders for their untiring support in attaining genuine peace and progress in Central and Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, Alberto extolled the awardees for demonstrating excellence during the previous years. He graciously thanked stakeholders of the Spearhead Division for the continuous support to the Spearhead Troopers as they carry on their mission.
Alberto gave assurance to the Spearhead troopers that the Philippine Army endeavours to give them quality individual clothing and equipment; the best treatment for combat casualties; and prompt support services for families of casualties for them to finally defeat the CPP-NPA terrorists, in line with the Presidents directive to finish the insurgency problem by 2021.
