To lure the public into secretly squealing on bookies or illegal gambling operators and their minions, the 7 Aces Games and Amusement Corporation, the sole Authorized Agent Corporation (AAC) of Small Town Lottery in Iloilo province, launched a campaign against illegal numbers games.
In a written announcement, 7 Aces said that it will give cash reward to any person who can provide information on illegal games like “bookies” and others,
The reward a tipster will receive depends on the rank or work of the alleged illegal gambling suspect:
-Kabo Mayor – P10,000
-Maintainer – P20,000
-Safe house or Bolahan – P50,000
-Financier/bangkero/kapitalista- P100,000
The authorized STL operator also assured that all information will be treated with confidentiality.
Any information could be reported to mobile phone numbers 0916-2977589 and 0947-4390948.
Meanwhile, the Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) said the bookies operations in its area is not that rampant.
Colonel Gilbert Gorero, Iloilo police chief, said they act on reports of persons collecting bets for STL.
But most often than not, the persons presented identification cards showing that they are working for 7 Aces.
“We just don’t know if there are collectors who used the 7 Aces as guise but remit their collection to bookies,” he said.
Recent anti-illegal gambling operations in Iloilo province focused on illegal cockfighting and illegal card games.
