BACOLOD City – A man was arrested after police seized from him 30 grams of suspected shabu worth P204,000 in a buy-bust operation at Purok Mainabyanon, Barangay Singcang-Airport here yesterday.

Police identified the subject as Justine Estaniel alias “Tarzan,” 27, of the said village.

Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said Estaniel is considered a street level individual and a newly identified individual, as he had no previous record for drug peddling until he was arrested.

Puerto said they monitored Estaniel for two months before conducting the operation. The suspect is a butcher until he allegedly dabbled in the narcotics trade.

“Dati gapang-ihaw siya baboy, until nag sugod naman siya involve sa drugs,” the station commander added.

Police also confiscated from him the P500 marked money, and fake money bills used in the bust.

Puerto said other suspected drug peddlers that they arrested earlier pointed to Estaniel as a fellow pusher.

Estaniel allegedly sourced illegal drugs from the said village and distributes it to different puroks or sub-villages.

Drug charges are being readied against Estaniel, who is detained at Police Station 8. He has yet to be reached for comment.
