Three fall in P1.1-M ‘shabu’ busts

BACOLOD City – Three persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here and in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental that led to the seizure of P1,190,000 worth of suspected shabu on May 17 to 18, 2022.

In Dumaguete City, Davi Bendijo Aguilar, 47, of Barangay Looc, was arrested by police in Barangay Bagacay last Tuesday after he allegedly yielded about 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000,

According to the police, Aguilar is tagged as an alleged street level individual.

In Bacolod, Mariabel Canlas, 46, of Barangay 2 here, was also arrested that day in the said village, after police confiscated from her about 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P374,000, the P1,000 marked money, boodle or fake money, and an improvised tooter.

Canlas is considered a high value individual, according to the police. She is detained at Police Station 2.

The following day, Kingsley Divinagracia, 18, of Barangay Singcang-Airport here, was also arrested in the said village.

Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said that Divinagracia is a street level individual who was reportedly under the watchlist of the barangay.

Recovered from Divinagracia were about 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,000, the P500 marked money, and P2,500 boodle money.

Puerto said that Divinagracia allegedly engaged in the illegal drug trade since he was a minor due to the influence of his surroundings.

Puerto said that Divinagracia also told them that he is a relative of alleged Silay City’s top drug personality Michael Divinagracia, who was found dead in the town of Baras in Rizal province in May last year.

The three alleged drug suspects have yet to be reached for comment.
