Three more Police Regional Office (PRO-6) personnel tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The two new cases are organic personnel of the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) based in Camp Delgado, Iloilo City while the other one is a non-uniformed personnel (NUP).

Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, PRO-6 spokesperson, said the latest cases pushed the total of COVID-positive personnel to 43.

Patient 41 is a 24-year old male while Patient No. 42 is a 27-year-old male NUP.

On the other hand, Patient 43 is a 30-year-old male.

Malong noted that majority of PRO-6 personnel who contracted the virus are males. Thirty-three personnel (76.74 percent) are males while only 10 are females.

Also, 15 COVID-positive personnel are from the RPHAU.

But Malong explained that most of them are detailed to the lower units and not at PRO-6 headquarters in Iloilo City.

Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has nine personnel who contracted the virus; seven from the PRO-6 headquarters; and three each from the NUP ranks, Iloilo Police Provincial Office, and Negros Occidental PPO.

Two officers from Bacolod City PO and one from Capiz PPO were also infected.

Again, Malong assured that personnel who were found positive are now in isolation.
