ROXAS CITY, Capiz– Two persons are facing homicide charges for allegedly beating a minor boy to death Sunday evening at Sitio Maralusa in Barangay Atiplo, Mambusao, Capiz.

Police Major Pedro Goldino Diocson, acting chief of Mambusao Municipal Police Station, said they are waiting for the death certificate of the 16-year-old boy before filing the case before the Capiz Provincial Prosecutors Office at the Roxas City Hall of Justice against John Andrew Miguel Iringan, 20; and Albert Vito Laberos, 31, both residents of said place.

Diocson said the minor and the two suspects were neighbors.

The minor succumbed to injuries in his mouth, chest, and abdomen while the suspects were arrested by the Mambusao Municipal Police Station in a hot pursuit operation.

Police Staff Sergeant Ivan Camacho, police investigator, said the trio came from a birthday celebration when they shouted and challenged anybody to a fight.

The victim tried to pacify the suspects, but the latter beat him unconscious.

The victim was taken to Mambusao District Hospital in Mambusao town where he was declared dead on arrival.
