Two motorcycle riders killed, pal injured in collision

BACOLOD City – Two persons were dead while another was wounded after their motorcycle collided with a panel van loaded with parcels at Sitio Nabutahan, Brgy. Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.

Killed in the accident were motorcycle driver Ariel Guarin, and a 12-year-old boy.

Wounded was their 15-year-old friend.

Police Captain Ruby Aurita, public information officer of San Carlos City Police Station, said that Guarin and his two companions were allegedly speeding on their way home when the accident happened on the curve part of the road.

Guarin died on the spot while the 12-year-old boy passed away in a hospital, according to Aurita.

Aurita said the wounded minor-victim was transferred to a hospital here for surgery.

The employer of the panel van driver assured that they will provide assistance to the victims.

Meanwhile, a father and his two children were also killed in a road accident in Barangay Cabahug, Cadiz City over the weekend after their tricycle crashed into a truck parked in the said area.
