The United City Football Club is already mapping out the necessary plans to start their practice for their 2020 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup campaign.

Formerly known as the Ceres-Negros Football Club, United City confirmed that they already have their timetable set regarding their preparations for the 2020 AFC Cup that will begin this September 23, 2020.

United City’s club co-founder Eric Gottschalk explained that while Metro Manila has been reverted to General Community Quarantine (GCQ), they can’t wait to ease down the quarantine level for them to start their training.

Gottschalk then revealed that if the quarantine levels still prove to be a hindrance to their practices, then the football club will be flying to Vietnam and train.

“If the September 23 restart date pushes through, we might take the team out of the country to where the host city is. If the AFC Cup is on October, then we’ll sit it out and wait for PFF,” said Gottschalk.

As of now, the United FC’s confirmed re-acquisitions from the former are OJ Porteria, Bienvenido Marañon, and Stephan Shrock.

The departure of former head coach Risto Vidakovic who steered Ceres to a decorated Philippines Football League (PFL) run means United is still in search of a new chief tactician.
