After a month of searching for the next top-tier head coach that can somehow fill in for former chief tactician Risto Vidakovic, the United City Football Club finally found their man.

One of the mainstays in the English Football League, English Premiere League, the Indian Super League, Singapore S-League, Western Australia State League, and the Malaysia Super Liga is heading to the team formerly known as Ceres-Negros FC.

Trevor Morgan will be ready to call the shots and lead the team of OJ Porteria, Bienvendio Marañon, and Stephan Shrock in United City.

United City FC co-founder Eric Gottschalk revealed Morgan’s acquisition.

“His exposure to various leagues has prepared him very well for his new role as the Head Coach of United City Football Club (UCFC), which suits very well the ambition that this club has. We are excited and proud to have him on board, especially since the season is about to start,” Gottschalk said.

Morgan steered the Sorrento Soccer Club in Western Australia to a crown from 1997-2001 and helped improve Sengkang Pungkol FC in Singapore from a struggling club to first runner-up during the Singtel League Cup in 2007.

The 63-year-old renowned tactician also boosted the Hull City FC and made history as the first-ever Australian coach to have a stint in the English Premiere League.

“I cannot wait to get onto the training field with the players and look forward to working with a group of high-quality players and staff. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to help take an already very successful team to the next level, and I will give everything I have to help improve our team and to further establish Philippine Football as a force to be reckoned with in Asia,” Morgan said.
