‘Wanted’ Capizeño with P135K bounty nabbed

The country’s fourth “most wanted person” was arrested early morning of September 16 in Dumarao, Capiz.

Police nabbed Jesery Gonzales, 29, at his home in Sitio Agnaripay, Barangay Agsirab, Dumarao town.

Members of the Dumarao Police Station, the 63rd Special Action Company, the 6th Special Action Battalion, the PNP Special Action Force, the 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, the CPPO Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Regional Intelligence Unit 6, and the 602 Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion served an arrest warrant against Gonzales around 5 a.m. Thursday.

Gonzales is facing a murder charge in Criminal Case No. C-162-14.

Judge Lorencito Diaz of the Regional Trial Court Branch 16 in Roxas City, Capiz issued the arrest warrant on April 7, 2015.

No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

The bounty for Gonzales’ arrest was fixed at P135,000 based on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-022.

Police records showed that Gonzales was tagged in the murder of his schoolmate on June 10, 2014.

Using an unknown caliber of firearm, he allegedly shot the victim outside Capiz State University-Dumarao Campus in Barangay Codingle, Dumarao.

He is presently under the custody of Dumarao Police Station.
