Wish Ko Lang! gives OFW’s daughter a star-studded surprise debut party

FOR 16 years, pioneering public service program Wish Ko Lang! has been inspiring viewers here and abroad with stories of hope and transformation.

Hosted by Vicky Morales, Wish Ko Lang is one of the longest-running legacy shows of GMA News and Public Affairs that made a mark in television with its wish-granting advocacy throughout the years.

This Saturday, June 29, 2019, Wish Ko Lang! goes back to this well-loved reality-wish-granting format as the award-winning show helps an OFW from Dubai give his daughter a surprise debut celebration with no less than David Licauco, Michelle Dy, and Spongecola joining the party.

As a single dad, Ernesto Flores has endured being away from his family in Pampanga. In the span of 10 years, he has labored hard in Dubai dabbling various jobs—from working in construction, cooking in hotels, and getting involved in events as photographer and production crew, to name a few.

This June, Ernesto’s eldest daughter Errie—whom he has not seen for a decade—is turning 18. Errie has no idea that all the way from Dubai, her father has been cooking up a surprise for her with the help of Wish Ko Lang. On the day of Errie’s 18th birthday, it turns out that her dad’s phone call is just a few steps away from her.

Errie’s surprise debut party becomes extra special with the presence of her escort—Chinito heartthrob David Licauco. She gets dolled up as well by social media influencer Michelle Dy who serves as her stylist and make-up artist for her special day. Errie’s beauty is further highlighted as she wears a creation by Mak Tumang, the genius behind 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray’s winning gowns. And to make Errie’s debut a night to remember, Wish Ko Lang! even invited Spongecola as the party’s guest band.

The outpouring of blessings does not end here as the debutante gets a brand new car from her dad! Ernesto says he worked hard and saved up for this gift for years.

Wish Ko Lang will continue to spread goodness and hope among Filipinos here and abroad in the succeeding episodes, as the wish-granting program reaches out to more Kapuso viewers in its next episodes.

Watch Wish Ko Lang! with Vicky Morales, Saturdays at 4:10 pm on GMA 7.
