Wynn Brings 2024 Macau Snooker Masters to Life

MACAU — Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. will host the “Wynn Presents – 2024 Macau Snooker Masters” from Dec. 25 to 28 at Wynn Palace, with support from the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government.

The event, co-organized by Sailing Up Sports, promises an exciting return of snooker’s top players to Macau.

At a press conference on Oct. 31 at Wynn Macau, five internationally acclaimed snooker players shared their insights on tournament preparation.

Among them was Ronnie O’Sullivan, a seven-time World Snooker Championship winner; Jack Lisowski, last year’s runner-up in the Macau Masters; Jak Jones, the 2024 World Snooker Championship runner-up; Marco Fu, a renowned player from Hong Kong; and Si Jia Hui, an emerging snooker talent.

Linda Chen, president and vice chairman of the board of Wynn Macau, Limited, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Wynn is committed to hosting premier international sporting events, establishing a diverse global perspective for Macao. ‘Wynn Presents – 2024 Macau Snooker Masters’ not only advances Macao’s ‘Tourism + Sports’ strategy but also offers a diversified travel experience for locals and visitors, contributing to the development of Macao as a ‘City of Sports.’”

Chen also welcomed O’Sullivan as the new “Wynn Brand Ambassador,” marking a partnership aimed at promoting snooker globally, enhancing Macau’s appeal, and elevating its international profile.

O’Sullivan, the seven-time champion, expressed gratitude for his invitation: “I would like to thank our organizer, Wynn, for inviting me back for the tournament again. As the Wynn Brand Ambassador, I am very honored to be working alongside Wynn in promoting and increasing the popularity of snooker around the world. Meanwhile, I can’t wait to have fantastic games with all these outstanding players in Macao by the end of this year while celebrating the festive season with our fans!”

The 2024 Macau Snooker Masters will feature a new format, including a challenge match where O’Sullivan will face the world’s top players in a Best-of-7 frames format, heightening the excitement for fans. Nine elite players, including Ding Jun Hui, Judd Trump, Stuart Bingham, and Kyren Wilson, will compete.
