A total of 103 police officers graduated from the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) training conducted by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) during a closing ceremony on November 22, 2024, at the PRO-6 Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.
The training began in the third week of August 2024 at Camp Serudo in Barangay Jalandoni, Sara, Iloilo.
Participants underwent three months of intensive instruction and physical conditioning, acquiring skills in close-quarters battle, crisis response, marksmanship, and other competencies required of SWAT members.
Police Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, PRO-6 director, congratulated the graduates for their determination and commitment to completing the rigorous course.
“Everyone deserves applause: you, the students of this SWAT course, and the training facilitators and instructors.
I know both the students and the instructors experienced late nights and early mornings to ensure that the required skills and knowledge were imparted and learned.
I am confident that when you return to your respective units, you will be more disciplined and capable of delivering the excellent public service that people deserve.
You can provide the necessary police action when the situation dictates,” said Wanky.
