BACOLOD City – Thirteen persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental in the past two days.
The busts led to the seizure of an estimated P273,000 worth of suspected shabu.
In Himamaylan City, Ma. Esmeralda Laroya, 51, and Ben Laroya, 19, both residents of Barangay Aguisan were apprehended July 21, 2020.
The Laroyas yielded eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P34,000, and the P500 marked money.
In Victorias City, Antonio Reyes Jr., 40, of Barangay 4, was collared at the said village on the same day, for alleged possession of six sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, drug paraphernalia, the P300 marked money, and P200 cash.
In Kabankalan City, Reynaldo Andonilla, 48, of Barangay Tampalon, and Jeanuarhon Bumanglag, 32, of Barangay 1 were arrested at Barangay 3 last Tuesday.
The duo yielded P12,000 worth of purported shabu, drug paraphernalia, the P500 marked money, and P1,006.
In Hinigaran town, 40-year-old Louie Prudente was nabbed at Barangay Nanunga on July 22, after he allegedly yielded two sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,000, the P500 marked money, and P250.
Also arrested that day at Barangay Alijis here were Arman Pabon, 35; and Mark Gil Vergara, 46, both residents of the said village.
Police seized from Pabon and Vergara six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams and valued at P81,600, the P1,000 marked money, and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 7.
On the same day, Eddie Boy Belibestre, 36, of Barangay Villamonte here was arrested at the said village, after police recovered from his possession five sachets of suspected shabu weighing nine grams worth P61,200, the P500 marked money, and P400. He is detained at Police Station 4.
Personnel of Police Station 5 also conducted a drug bust at the public cemetery of Barangay Granada here last Wednesday and arrested Arvin John Janayan, 31, of Barangay Taculing.
Police confiscated from Janayan five sachets of suspected shabu worth P50,000, the P300 marked money, and P220.
Arrested at Barangay Taculing that day were Johnel Tordillos, 24; Raphy Debide, 31; Ian Villanueva, 31; and Raymond Tupas, 24.
Officers of Police Station 2 confiscated from them seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P27,200, the P200 marked money, and P480.
