AT LEAST 13 politicians in Western Visayas made it to the latest narco-list of the Duterte administration.
But Alex Tablate, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 (PDEA-6) chief, refused to name these politicians.
As per reports, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, together with PDEA national office, would release the list before the campaign period for local position.
The list came from the Inter-Agency Drug Information Database following months of validation.
Tablate said the PDEA national office sent the list to ascertain the extent of the politicians alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Of the 13 politicians, seven are reportedly seeking elective posts in the 2019 midterm elections.
But we could not find the six on the online list of the Commission on Elections. Maaaring di na sila tumakbo for the upcoming election, he said.
The politicians in the list occupied the posts of vice mayor and up.
Most of them, Tablate said, allegedly protect suspected drug personalities.
He also declined to identify the areas where these politicians are based.
