BACOLOD City – Col. Romeo Baleros, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) director, said on March 11, 2020 that the 182 personnel who underwent mandatory drug testing last Monday at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. tested negative of illegal drugs.
Baleros said all Nocppo personnel will undergo mandatory drug testing.
So far, 80 percent of the officers were subjected to the examination and not one of them tested positive for illegal drug use.
The drug test on Monday was the second round in Noccpo.
“In January, 86 personnel were already subjected to the same test and all came out negative from the use of illicit substance,” Baleros said.
A surprise inspection was also held prior to the conduct of the drug test.
Faded ball caps were confiscated, while personnel wearing worn out uniforms were reprimanded and ordered to render community service.
