ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two Capiceñas wanted for syndicated and large-scale illegal recruitment and estafa are now in the custody of the Laguna Police Provincial Office following their recent arrest.

Reports from Capiz Police Provincial Office indicated that Ramilyn Andrade, 33, and Andrea Andrade, 23, both residents of Barangay Bolo here and temporarily residing in Barangay Timbao, Biñan City, Laguna were arrested on orders of Judge Alma Nonato Banias-Delfin of the Regional Trial Court Branch 15 and Judge Kristine B. Tiangco-Vinculado of RTC Branch 16, both in Roxas City.

The courts did not allow the duo to post bail.

Ramilyn was the live-in partner of Korean national Kim Taehyeong who was linked to alleged illegal recruitment here.

Taehyeong, who is also wanted for the same offense, was first arrested in 2020 by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

The suspects allegedly promised more than 200 recruits in Capiz with factory jobs in South Korea with monthly salaries ranging from P60,000 to P80,000 plus overtime pay.

The suspects collected P70,000 from each victim, or a total of P20 million.

The alleged illegal recruitment was discovered in 2019 when the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) issued a statement that the suspects were not authorized recruiters.
