Two individuals on Western Visayas’ most wanted list were arrested in Antique province.

Police identified the suspects only as alias Jefvic, 24, of Barangay Semirara, Caluya, and Antonio, 69, of Barangay Alojipan, Culasi town.

Jefvic, accused of two counts of rape under Criminal Case Numbers 24-CA-044-CR and 24-CA-045-CR, was arrested at around 12 noon on August 9.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Josefina Fulo Muego of Regional Trial Court (RTC) 6, Branch 13, Culasi, Antique, on August 5, 2024.

No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty. Jefvic is ranked as the sixth most wanted person in Region 6.

Meanwhile, Antonio was arrested on the morning of August 10 for a murder charge. As with Jefvic, no bail was set for Antonio’s temporary freedom.

Brigadier General Jack Wanky, Western Visayas police chief, commended the tracker team for locating the suspects.

“This accomplishment reflects your dedication and hard work toward your sworn duty. Continue the vigor you are showing in your work. We will not stop until all wanted persons are accounted for,” he said.

The two suspects were among the 36 wanted persons arrested during a two-day manhunt operation conducted by various units of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6.

Of those arrested, eight were tagged as most wanted persons, and 28 were classified as other wanted persons.
