Young Filipino superstar athlete Shane Clemente is ready to take over the international scene after signing a deal with Spanish football club CD Llosetense in Majorca, Spain.
The 20-year-old booter dropped a teaser video on his official YouTube account two weeks ago but the move was made official last August 10, 2023.
CD Llosetense President Lurek Vince Estarellas already welcomed the Pinoy football player from Malabon City and added that Clemente will be a part of the club’s Under-23 team.
“We are pleased to officially introduce Shane Clemente as the newest addition to our U23 team. We firmly believe that Shane possesses the qualities and skills necessary to excel in his sports career,” said Estarellas.
Before making his Spain trip official, Clemente suited up for a football club in Dubai called Al Ittifaq.
Clemente’s experience playing against the grown men in Dubai honed his skills even more and has landed the left-wing back position of the club.
In a series of clips posted on his official YouTube channel, Clemente showed he can keep up with the older football players.
Clemente’s defense was on full display in his videos and became Al Ittifaq’s anchor on the left side of the pitch.
Aside from his defensive prowess, Clemente is also one of the offense generators for Al Ittifaq. When he dribbles the ball from the left side, the young star was always expected to throw the cross pass that forces the action for the Dubai-based club.
It was 10 years ago when Clemente first made a name for himself in the sport. He was a part of the 22 boys that were chosen to undergo exclusive and intensive training at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom.
After that stint, Clemente was tapped by the San Beda University High School varsity team but was only short-lived due to his commitment to Al Ittifaq.
“Notably, he demonstrates exceptional intellect, clear vision, and a relentless work ethic, which are all essential attributes for personal and professional growth,” added Estarellas.
