2022 CBMS data turned over to Batad, Iloilo

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Iloilo successfully turned over the data from the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to the local government unit of Batad, Iloilo.

Batad was one of the local government units that participated in the 2022 CBMS roll-out.

The activity took place at the Municipal Hall of Batad on December 18, 2023 through the joint efforts of the PSA and the local government unit of Batad.

Among the officials in attendance were Municipal Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Ma. Theresa D. Sayat EnP, PSA RSSO VI Statistical Operations and Coordination Division-Chief Statistical Specialist Marlene Y. Alviar, and PSA Iloilo (Supervising Statistical Specialist) Officer-in-Charge Jerry L. Dolutan.

Also in attendance were the Department Heads and other PSA and LGU personnel.

Senior Statistical Specialist Stephen C. Araña presented the highlights of the results from the Household and Barangay Profile Questionnaire.

The presentation includes data about the basic services such as electricity, internet, water, toilet facilities, safety, food insecurity, and disaster preparedness.

The CBMS covered 24 barangays of Batad with 5,925 responding households with a total of 21,323 individuals covered.

Mayor Alarcon thanked the PSA for the support and assistance in the implementation of CBMS in Batad.

According to her, the turnover ceremony is an invitation to continue working together to fulfill the shared responsibility and reach the objectives of the CBMS.

She also promised that the data will be used to support the municipality’s overall agricultural development as well as to strengthen the organization’s social welfare development.

“All in all, I am certain that the collective data of CBMS will propel forward as a community and will surely help us in achieving our goal of making Batad a greater one,”  Alarcon said.
