The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) has announced the 20th National Convention of Lawyers scheduled from January 30 to February 1, 2025, at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City. This biennial event is expected to attract around 4,000 lawyers from both government and private sectors.
Participants must pay a registration fee of P12,000, although an “early bird” rate of P10,000 is available for those who register by May 15, 2024. The IBP has designated October 31, 2024, as the final day for registration, which must be done online through the myIBP App, as no onsite registration will be permitted.
Due to limited space, only the first 1,940 registrants will be accommodated in the hotel’s main ballroom. Additional attendees will be seated in four other ballrooms within the hotel.
Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo and several Supreme Court justices will attend the convention’s opening day, serving as Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) lecturers.
Full participation in the convention will provide attendees with 18 MCLE units and will count towards one of the five required attendances at national or regional conventions for lifetime IBP membership eligibility.
