BACOLOD City – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental has started the 5-day deliberation on the proposed P4.2-billion budget of the provincial government for 2020.
Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said the deliberation started Wednesday as the SP eyes to approve the budget by first week of December
Ferrer said he sees no problem in the passage of the budget.
Meanwhile, Ferrer said the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental unanimously approved the P40,565,675.74 Supplemental Budget No. 10.
The supplemental budget includes P25.5 million to the Provincial Engineer’s Office for the installation of airconditioning units, 3-phase extension line with transformers, and lightings and fixtures at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center, as well as design and improvement of Negros Residences.
The Provincial Health Office got a budget of almost P7 million for its Barangay Nutrition Program, travelling expenses, gasoline, oil, and lubricants.
Other allocations were: Governor’s Office – P2.4 million, Negros Occidental Tourism Division – P200,000, Sports Development Section – P100,000, Provincial Treasurer’s Office – P500,000, Provincial Planning and Development Office –P250,000;
Office of the Provincial Agriculturists – P3.6 million, Provincial Veterinary Office – P500,000, Negros First Provincial Blood Center- P360,000 and 100,000 for the Hospital Operations Department.
