The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Iloilo Provincial Statistical Office (IPSO) has commenced the registration of children aged 1 to 4 years old into the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) starting February 14, 2024, achieving significant progress.

As of April 30, 2024, the PSA IPSO’s PhilSys Team has registered 5,031 children. This milestone was achieved through coordinated efforts with barangays and schools, and by conducting mobile registration drives.

Children aged 1 to 4 can be registered only if accompanied by a parent or guardian who is already registered with PhilSys. The child’s PhilSys Number (PSN) will be linked to the accompanying parent or guardian.

Parents or guardians must provide supporting documents to validate the child’s demographic information. Acceptable documents include:

– Certificate of Live Birth issued by the PSA or the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO)

– Report of Birth issued by the PSA or Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP)

– Certificate of Foundling issued by the PSA

– Certificate of Foundling or Certificate of Live Birth or Persons with No Known Parents issued by the PSA

– Municipal Form No. 102

– Philippine Passport or ePassport issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)

– Any document showing the child’s full name, date and place of birth, mother’s full name, and father’s full name (if acknowledged)

For parents or guardians wishing to register their children, PhilSys registration centers are available throughout the province.
