The Specialized Course on Investigation of Crimes Involving Women and Children for PNP-WCPD officers conducted by Police Regional Office 6 ended on Nov 23, 2020.
The online course started last October 27, 2020 and participated by 56 policewomen designated as WCPD investigators regionwide.
Police Brigadier General Rene P. Pamuspusan, PRO6 regional director, congratulated the participants for completing the 17-day online training.
He said that the training is very timely because according to reports there was an increase of domestic violence happened since COVID-19 lockdown began in March this year.
Pamuspusan instructed the WCPD investigators that they should not stay in their offices waiting for complaints but instead they should engage their respective communities, talk with the Barangay Officials, schools and community leaders to prevent violence against women and children.
“Since your work is loaded with stressful situations and painful confessions from your abused and exploited clients, you need to have more patience and compassion” added Pamuspusan.
