BACOLOD City – Police here and in Negros Occidental seized an estimated P102,000 worth of illegal drugs on June 4.
Operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-6 conducted the biggest drug haul last Tuesday at P75,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust at Barangay 3 here.
Police captured Mark Jimwel Sonido after he allegedly yielded three sachets of suspected shabu and an improvised tooter. He is detained at Police Station 2.
In Kabankalan City, Danilo Jimenez, 35, of Barangay 4; and Jovic Marfil, 33, of Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City were nabbed in a drug bust at Barangay 4 which resulted in the recovery of nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, drug paraphernalia, the P100 marked money, and P2,450 cash.
In Bago City, Kenneth Gerona, 27, of Barangay Poblacion was collared at Barangay Lag-asan for alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
Police seized from Gerona two sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,000, drug paraphernalia, the P300 marked money, and P1,154 cash.
Also arrested in the said city was Mariano Martir Jr., 22, of Barangay Poblacion after police confiscated from him two sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,000, a lighter, the P200 marked money, and P490 cash.
In La Carlota City, Danilo Villanueva, 44, of Barangay RSB was arrested at the said village for possession of five sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, and the P500 marked money.
In Sipalay City, Felix Talisay, 22, od Barangay Banago, this city was collared at Barangay 2 after he allegedly sold a shabu to a police agent for P1,000.
Police seized from him the buy-bust item, and P2,569 cash, including the P1,000 marked money.
